How Much Does It Cost to Ride the Gondola at Mammoth Mountain?

Rides Are Free for Ikon Pass Holders

If you have an Ikon pass, all you’ll need to do when you arrive at Mammoth is visit the Adventure Center at the Main Lodge. This is where you can pick up a free gondola ride ticket. When purchased from the Mammoth website, the current price for a standard Ikon pass is $1,049, and it includes up to $50 in renewal discounts and other perks in addition to the free gondola rides.

Kids Ride Free

If you’ll be coming to Mammoth with younger children, they can ride for free. Mammoth permits up to two kids aged 12 and under to ride the gondola for free with each paying adult. The free tickets for kids can be picked up at a ticket window once you arrive.

Lunch Packages Are Available

An appetizing way to save some money on your gondola ride is to consider a lunch package. With this option, you purchase a ride ticket before you arrive and receive lunch after you get here. Meals are usually something light, like a sandwich and some candy or chips. A beverage is included as well.

You Can Buy Tickets Just for the Gondola Ride

Should you prefer to purchase a ride ticket only, visit the Mammoth website to do so. Click on “Scenic Gondola Ride Only Tickets” to pick the date you’ll be at Mammoth to make your purchase. Prices and options can vary. Divided by age range, the main ride-only ticket options include:

• Adults age 23 to 64 – Single adult scenic ride tickets are $39
• Children age 5 to 12 – If you’ll be bringing more than two kids with you to Mammoth, additional tickets for this age range are $16
• Young adults age 13 to 22 – Scenic ride tickets for older children and young adults are around $30-$31
• Seniors age 65 to 79 – The $30-$31 price range also applies for seniors wishing to purchase scenic gondola ride tickets when visiting Mammoth

Ticket Prices May Be Lower if Purchased Further in Advance

Planning your Mammoth trip as soon as possible can pay off in many ways, including the possibility of purchasing tickets at lower rates. Tickets purchased in advance for dates further out are sometimes priced lower than ones closer to the current date. However, there are some exceptions. For instance, gondola tickets for popular holiday weekends, such as Labor Day weekend, tend to remain in the price ranges mentioned above.
