22-year-old USA olympic competitor, Mikaela Shiffrin , is deemed the world’s best Alpine skier. Not only because of her intense training regimes and strict rest habits, but because of her drive to succeed.
At the beginning of the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics, Mikaela Shiffrin planned to take home five gold medals in five different alpine skiing events. Her hard work and dedication paid off when she claimed her first gold medal in the Giant Slalom Event.
However, training for multiple events in their respective field is proving to be a difficult task for the olympian as she has withdrawn from the Super G Skiing event this Saturday. Shiffrin’s mom and coach even commented on her ambitious goals stating that they plan to take it easy, allow the athlete to recover and rest then go to the Downhill Event.
Mikaela Shiffrin might be one of the youngest most disciplined athletes in Pyeongchang. She allots herself a full 8 hours of sleep each night to ensure her body is well rested and ready to go. Regardless of her abandoning the Super G Skiing event, we know she will excel in her other events!
