With more storms on the horizon, it’s important to keep up-to-date on road safety. That being said, here are the current road conditions, obstacles and road closures to Mammoth Mountain:
CA 395 – The Central California and Sierra Nevada area currently has no reported road closures or traffic restrictions.
CA 203 – The Central California and Sierra Nevada area is currently closed from the Mammoth Mountain Inn to the Mono/Madera Co Line for the winter season. Travelers are advised to use another route.
CA 120 – The Central California and Sierra Nevada area is currently closed from Crane Flat to 5 miles west of the junction of US 395, Tioga Pass for the winter season. Travelers going this way are regularly advised to use alternative route 4.5 miles east of the south junction of CA 395 to 7 miles west of the junction of US 6, however it is currently closed for snow. The alternate alternate route is the Yosemite Nation Park road. If you run into any issues, please call (209) 372- 0200.
CA 108 – The Central California and Sierra Nevada area is currently closed from 7.2 east of Strawberry to 8 miles west of junction CA 395. Travelers are suggested to take the Yosemite National Park road instead. Call (209) 372-0200 for assistance.
CA 158 – The Central California and Sierra Nevada area is currently closed from 3.5 miles north of June Lake Village at the power plant to north of junction US 395 due to excessive snowfall. Detour signs are provided.
