The Best Mammoth Lakes Events This April

Winter may be heading out the window around the rest of the country, but the snow just keeps falling at Mammoth Mountain. In fact, this year has been the snowiest on record, so you’ll be able to ski and snowboard at Mammoth into July at least!

That doesn’t mean you won’t be able to enjoy the best spring skiing in California though. That’s why we’ve put together a quick list of the best Mammoth Lakes Events this month below. Check it out, then visit ASO Mammoth for the best ski and snowboard rentals in Mammoth Lakes!

The Mammoth Mountain Caldera Burn April 8 7:00 AM – 1:30 PM

The view from the top of Mammoth Mountain is spectacular enough but reaching the summit by hiking your way up from Canyon Lodge means truly earning the view. If that sounds like your kind of day on the mountain, then the Mammoth Caldera Burn is the event for you.

Participants will skin and hike up the mountain multiple times to test their endurance in one of the most beautiful places on earth!

June Mountain Closing Weekend April 8th – 9th

June Mountain is Mammoth’s smaller sister mountain. Of course, that doesn’t mean you can’t have huge fun there.

June will be running its last lifts for the season this month, so check it out and ski even more Eastern Sierra terrain while you can!

Annual Easter Parade April 9th 4 PM

Celebrate Easter with Wooly and friends at Mammoth Mountain! There will be an Easter parade in the village as well as skiing and snowboarding with Wooly on the snow during the day.

Mammoth Mountain Pond Skim April 16th 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

There’s no better way to close Canyon Lodge for the season than the annual pond skim.

Participants are required to wear a costume, which makes watching the pond skim just as fun as participating!
