Merry Fishmas! Fishing Season in Mammoth Lakes, CA, Is Officially Here

The long-awaited day is finally here – today is the official kick-off to the 2018 fishing season!

Every year, the last Saturday of April marks Opening Day. This year’s season will run from today (Saturday, April 28) through Thursday, November 15.

Before you get out there though, make sure you have your 2018 fishing license – which you can now get right here at ASO Mammoth!

As of today, most waters in Mono County are now open to fish for as many as five trout that you can catch-and-keep per day – popular spots include Crowley Lake, Convict Lake, the Mammoth Lakes Basin, June Lake Loop waters and the Bridgeport Reservoir. However, always be sure to check local regulations as some waters have unique restrictions. You can view regulations at the California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s regulations page or call 760-872-1171.
