Most people know Mammoth Lakes for its epic snowfall and beautiful mountains, but the truth is that Mammoth Lakes gets just as many visitors in the summer as it does during the winter.

Many say that people come to Mammoth Lakes for the winters and stay for the summers, and this July’s events show exactly why. From world-class hiking, camping, and fishing during the day to incredible events at night, there’s something for everyone in Mammoth Lakes this July!

June Lake Triathlon (7/9)

Running, swimming, and biking may not sound like fun to most people, but when you’re doing all three somewhere as beautiful as June Lake it makes it a little easier.

Mammoth Shakespeare Festival (6/29-7/17)

The Mammoth Shakespeare Festival is one of the best events of the entire summer thanks to the talent on stage and the passion behind the performances. Oh, and it doesn’t hurt that the festival is free.

There is a suggested $15 donation that will go to the two theater companies that put on the festival, but everyone can enjoy Shakespeare in Mammoth!

Trad is Rad Weekend (7/15-7/17)

Enjoy speakers, music, games, food, and, of course, books at the Eastern Sierra Book Festival! This festival is located right next to Hayden Creek so you’ll get to enjoy the beauty of the Eastern Sierras and great literature all at once!

One of the most popular events in Mammoth Lakes is back again for another song!

Enjoy free live jazz and great food and drinks from nearby restaurants. Don’t forget to take advantage of the wine walk while you’re at it!
