USA Cross-Country Skiing Team Jessie Diggins and Kikkan Randall Break Losing Streak & Make History

It’s hard to believe that the last medal in cross-country skiing was awarded to US skier Bill Koch in 1976. Yet today, on February 21st USA olympic competitors Jessie Diggins and Kikkan Randall sprinted their way to victory in their  Cross-Country Skiing event ending the 42-year drought!

The pair reignited a fire within team USA, ultimately claiming the win! TogetherJessie Diggins and Kikkan Randall beat Sweden and Norway, who were speculated to win.

The medal was well-deserved as olympic skier, Kikkan Randall stated that she had been training for this moment for 20 years and teammate Jessie Diggins had also finished top six in all of her events. It was only a matter of time before this dynamic duo synced together in a harmonious effort to dominate the sprinting event.
