Mammoth Gran Fondo 9/10
If you love cycling in beautiful places, then the Mammoth Gran Fondo is one of the best bike rides in the entire country, and it’s taking place in Mammoth Lakes’ backyard.
The Gran Fondo closes 75 miles of mountain roads so cyclists can ride through the mountains in peace and focus completely on their performance. Although, it’s hard to pay attention when riding with the Eastern Sierra mountains over your shoulders. There is a 102, 72, and 42 mile route so you can find the distance that’s perfect for you!
Mammoth Trail Fest 9/22-9/25
If you’re not a trail runner then running up Mammoth’s steep trails at elevation may seem impossible, but there isn’t a better place or community to get into trail running than Mammoth Trail Fest.
Whether you’re just starting out or are an experienced trail runner, Mammoth Trail Fest has three days of races of varying difficulty so that anyone can find the right race for them. If you’re not a runner, then there are still nightly events to enjoy!
